ABOUT US
Angus McIntosh and his wife Sheila moved with Sheila’s mother and their young family to Barra in 1980 leaving behind (well not quite leaving behind) most of a lifetime campaigning for Scottish self government.

They set up a bakery on the island (their rolls are still talked about) and for some 12 years ran the local café selling their rolls and baking, home made ice cream and crafts.

Angus died in 2000 (see tribute CD) and in 2004 Sheila sold the café and moved the gift and ice cream business to the former bakehouse alongside their home in Brevig.

The ground floor of the house provides comfortable self catering for two people with views over Brevig Bay.
